Looking to interview the children/grandchildren/other family members of Holocaust survivors … who fit the following criteria:
- The survivor/s recorded a form of testimony.
- They were persecuted by the NS regime on the basis of being considered Jewish.
- The survivor/s had/ have some link to Austria or Germany.
The participants will be invited to watch/look through their family member’s testimony and then reflect upon how it corresponds/contrasts to their personal knowledge of the survivor. The process takes place in-person and therefore the participants must be based either in the USA (Washington DC, New York, Illinois) or in Austria or Germany. Along with the interviews, there will also be an optional creative workshop.
This project is part of a doctoral study at the University of Vienna.
